Insomniaas dusk walks away and night trips falling into dark corners and empty beds my thoughts bounce like a r u b b e r ball ricocheting against the precarious parts of my psyche destroying order until day decides to break rescuing me from interior
anarchy *This is an example of concrete poetry. Concrete poetry, pattern poetry or shape poetry is poetry in which the typographical arrangement of words is as important in conveying the intended effect as the conventional elements
of the poem, such as meaning of words, rhythm, rhyme and so on. It is sometimes referred to as visual poetry, a term that has evolved to have distinct meaning of its own. My poem, 'Insomnia', is supposed to
look like an hourglass.
